PrimeWay Hosts Free Grocery Giveaway for Thanksgiving

HOUSTON, Texas – PrimeWay Federal Credit Union hosted a free grocery giveaway, Monday, November 23, 2015 to help Houston families prepare for Thanksgiving. The local credit union, known for helping Houstonians keep their wallets full since 1937, wanted to help fill some refrigerators and pantries this holiday season.

The free grocery giveaway took place at the H-E-B located at 9828 Blackhawk Blvd. Houston, TX 77075.  From 8 a.m. -1 p.m., the first 100 families received up to $35 worth of groceries. Members received up to $35 and non-members received $25.

“Giving back to the community in the most creative ways possible is something we truly pride ourselves on doing as an organization,” said Michelle Oshinski, senior vice president of government affairs and marketing at PrimeWay. “The PrimeWay Turkey Day Giveaway was another opportunity for us to be able to do just that and officially launch our holiday season!”
