Calling PrimeWay to check your balances, hear your recent transactions, or transfer money has just become a whole lot easier. Our phone system has been upgraded, and you are now greeted by Carey, our AI assistant, when you call.

With Carey, there’s no need to navigate phone menus. Just speak naturally and say things like “check my balance” or “transfer money,” and Carey will take care of the rest. Carey will guide your call so you can get what you need fast, and it does so with the same level of security and privacy you expect from PrimeWay.

We remain fully committed to providing the personal service you expect. Carey simply makes routine tasks easier and faster, especially during peak hours. Our team is always ready to step in for more complex requests or whenever you prefer to speak with a representative.

How do I report a lost or stolen card or check?

If you suspect fraudulent activity on your PrimeWay debit or credit card, or need to report your card as lost or stolen, please call us immediately at the following numbers:

  • For debit cards, please call (713) 799-6200
  • For consumer credit cards, please call (866) 552-8855
  • For business credit cards, please call (866) 552-8855
  • Please call PrimeWay at (713) 799-6200 to report lost or stolen checks.
Can I schedule a retail center appointment?
You can schedule an appointment online at any of our convenient Houston locations. Use this time-saving feature to avoid a wait time and meet with a PrimeWay Representative at a time that works for you. Click here to get started.
How do I activate or change my PIN?

You can call 24/7 to select a customized PIN, change your PIN or activate your new card using our automated system. Please call 1-888-891-2435 from your home or business number on file.

If the number you are calling from matches the number we have on file, then you will then need to enter your birth date using a MM/YY format.

If the phone number does not match you will be able to activate your card but not change your PIN. You can call the our contact center at 713-799-6200 to verify your phone number is current.

As a security feature the PIN Now system only allows 3 PIN change attempts per day.

How do I request Skip-a-Pay for my loan?
Our loan Skip-a-Pay program can help ease your financial burden in the case of unexpected expenses. Skip a payment on eligible loans, quickly within online and mobile banking. Need more information? Visit our Skip-a-Pay program page.
How do I join PrimeWay Federal Credit Union?
Joining is easy. Confirm your eligibility and you can open an account online in 5 minutes. All you need is your driver’s license or state-issued ID and a way to fund your account.

What’s the difference between a bank and a credit union?
Banks are in business to make a profit. Credit unions are in business to help you grow your financial resources. As a not-for-profit, credit unions return profits to its members in the form of lower interest rates on loans, lower fees and higher dividends on deposits. Another big difference is our Board of Directors are volunteers from our membership and unpaid unlike the members of a bank’s board.
