Beginner Investing FAQs
Investing should always after you have an emergency savings account that would cover 6-months of expenses. Once you have saved 6-month emergency fund plus $5,000 you are ready to get started investing. The $5,000 will help you take a solid first step into building an investment plan for your future.
It’s a good idea to invest a minimum of 20% of your income. If you are trying to catch up, then you may want to invest more than that.
It’s best to start investing as soon as you have a regular job and income. If you haven’t done that, then the best age to start investing is however old you are today.
