HOUSTON – PrimeWay Federal Credit Union CEO Annette Zimmerman was recently awarded the Credit Union Times CEO Trailblazer award for 2015.

Since she accepted the position as CEO in 2010, Zimmerman has made it her unwavering mission to create an environment where people love to work and love to do business at PrimeWay. Fast forward to five years later and PrimeWay is the picture of a successful and stable credit union. Her strong leadership, ability to identify and implement innovative solutions to support members, focus on the long term versus short term results, and her initiative with community and industry involvement are just a few of the reasons Zimmerman is considered a trailblazer among the credit union community.

"Annette combined innovation with cost savings and improved customer service to help turn our credit union around, and she did it by always putting people first," shares PrimeWay CFO Scott Kreinbring. "She didn’t come in and fire people – she retrained them. She didn’t come in and cut member services – she found a way to increase service and reduce cost."

Zimmerman was presented with the award at a reception hosted by Credit Union Times that took place at the Renaissance in Washington, DC during CUNA's Governmental Affairs Conference. The Credit Union Times Trailblazer awards are in their 10th year.
